Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways Review
Fans of RPG computer games will probably enjoy this Fantasma Games fantasy follow-up, and Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways revolves around the same 3 cartoonish animal character heroes, namely the raven wizard, the lion warrior and rabbit archer. You get to pick 1 of them up front, while unlocking the 2 others becomes the number one priority in the first stage of the game.
Each hero brings a unique modifier to the table, and you also get Werewolf free spins between collecting EXP to unlock the 2 heroes. Once all 3 heroes are activated, the Werewolf spins cannot trigger anymore, and you’ll grind along until the Vampire bonus round finally triggers. If you’re extra lucky, you get to enter the top-tier Super Spins Mode, but don’t expect to see that one very often. Overall, no massive changes except for a somewhat watered down math model.
Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways Slot - Reels ScreenHeroes Hunt 2 Megaways Features
The dynamic reel system awards up to 6 symbols per reel, and you win by landing 3-6 matching symbols on any row starting from the leftmost reel. Landing 6-oak wins with the premium symbols award between 2 and 10 x your stake, and the cascading wins feature has been dropped in this version.

You start by picking 1 of the 3 heroes, and the 2 remaining heroes can be unlocked during the gameplay. Each hero comes with a unique modifier, and it triggers when a hero is active and the corresponding symbol appears on reels 2 to 5:
- The Wizard - the explosion symbol lands and removes itself, non-winning regular symbols and blocker tiles from the grid in either two 2x2 sized areas, or one 3x3 sized area. Random matching pay symbols fill up the empty spaces the explosion generated.
- The Warrior - the warrior's sword cuts through all blocker tiles, and it makes the reel it land on completely wild. A multiplier between x2 and x6 is then assigned to the wild reel, and a 1x1 wild is added randomly to another reel.
- The Archer - the arrow symbol removes 4-9 random non-winning symbols and/or blocker tiles, and you get a multiplier equal to the number of blocker tiles removed. New symbols cascade down to fill the empty positions, and the multiplier will boost any win that follows.
You need to collect 3 EXPs to unlock a hero, and these come from landing treasure chest symbols. Each chest awards +1 EXP, but it can also trigger the Werewolf Bonus Round. If the latter is the case, you get 10 free spins with Werewolf Wilds that can land on reels 2 to 5.
These turn any adjacent hero symbols wild as well. When you’ve managed to unlock all 3 heroes, you will no longer land chest symbols, but Key scatters come into play instead. You need to land 3 key scatters anywhere in view to trigger the Vampire Bonus Round, and this awards 10 free spins for starters.
The feature comes with an energy bar, and the vampire is slayed if you manage to remove a total of 12 vampire symbols via hero modifiers. You get +1 extra spins per removed vampire symbol, and also per vampire symbol win. When the bonus round is over, the cycle is complete. You then start all over again in the base game by picking 1 of 3 heroes to unlock.
If you manage to slay the Vampire during the feature, you trigger Super Free Spins mode. This gives you 2 spins on a fully opened 6x6 grid, and all wins are boosted by an x100 multiplier. You get only wilds and regular symbols during the Super Free Spins feature.
Finally, non-UK players can purchase the 2 bonus rounds, if that is indeed allowed in your jurisdiction. The Werewolf bonus round will set you back 30x your stake, while the Vampire free spins feature is yours for 100x your stake.
The hero EXP levels are not affected in any way.The 200 Spins Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways Experience
We decided to go with the Warrior Lion unlocked as the game started, but very little happened for us in the base game. We purchase the Vampire bonus round at 1:51 into the 6 and a half minute highlights video, and we landed a few decent wins. Whether or not we managed to slay the vampire you’ll have to see for yourself, but we also buy the Werewolf round right after.
Review Summary
The Werewolf bonus round is handed out on a semi-regular basis during the Hero unlocking phase of the gameplay, but it disappears completely once all 3 heroes have been unlocked. The bonus buy price tag of only 30x tells you all you need to know about how valuable this feature is on average, so don’t expect much except occasional top-up wins to keep you motivated in the grind.
And a grind it can be, not least when you’re waiting to trigger the Vampire bonus round. It comes about once every 485 spins on average, and getting into the Super Mode by killing the vampire is far from easy. The whole blocker tile way of doing the Megaways engine is different for sure, but it comes with a more claustrophobic vibe.
Overall, a decent follow-up, even though the potential has been sliced down to an even 20,000x your stake.Pros
- Pick 1 of 3 Heroes to unlock up front
- Unlock up to all 3 Heroes w/ modifiers
- Werewolf FS w/ adjacent wild transformation
- Vampire FS can be upgraded to Super Mode
- Win up to 20,000x your stake
Cons
- Getting to the Vampire FS can take a good while
- Even harder to get into Super FS mode

Maze Escape Megaways - is a cleverly made dynamic reels experience also from Fantasma, and triggering path symbols move through an ever-shifting maze of reels and tile blockers. Modifiers can unblock said tiles, and the progressive multiplier bonus round comes with payouts up to 25,000x your stake.
Medallion Megaways - is yet another somewhat unusual Megaways release from Fantasma, and it comes with a cascading wins multiplier and up to 46,656 win ways. Expanding multiplier wilds up to x6 can land too, and you can win up to 12,331x your stake in the bonus round.
