Hillbilly Vegas is a volatile countryside casino slot from Reflex Gaming, and it plays out on 5x3 reels with 10 paylines. Everything revolves around the Bonus Wheel, which can dish out 3 different hillbilly casino games bonuses, the bonus round, or cash pots up to 10,000x your stake. The latter is the game’s overall max win as well, and you can check our full review below the free demo game.

Hillbilly Vegas Review

The hillbilly stereotype is running high in this game, with Skeeter (love the name) waving his moonshine around with a mean-looking expression on the left-hand side. He’s accompanied by Darlene, a flirty pig who could be his wife for all we know, as well as Billy Bob the dice rolling dogscout. The stage is set for some hilarious hillbilly casino action in other words, and Hillbilly Vegas is as far from the glossy glamor of Sin City as it gets.

You’re taken to a farm up in the Appalachian mountains, where the moonshine flows freely and people make use of what little they have to have a good time. You get to sample 3 of the games on offer in Hillbilly Vegas casino, and there is a bonus round to boot. There are several ways to win the 10,000x top prize, and it’s hard not to smile when playing this game.

Hillbilly Vegas Slot Features

The 3 character premium symbols pay 10x, 20x and 50x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and Skeeter is the top-tier symbol. The chicken Wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins, and the wild holds no value of its own. You can also land 3 different so-called Chip symbols (bottle caps), and you need 5+ in view to trigger a spin on the Bonus Wheel.

The Chip symbols are Big Win, Free Spins or Bonus symbols, and a mix of 5+ anywhere in view triggers the Bonus Wheel.

Hillbilly Vegas Slot Gameplay

The triggering bonus chips are placed around on the bonus wheel, and the remaining segments are filled with green dollar cash prize chips. The wheel comes with 12 segments, and here’s what you stand to win:

  • Green Dollar Chip - awards a cash prize between 5x and 20x your stake.
  • Big Win Chip - comes with a larger cash prize between 100x and 10,000x your stake.
  • Bonus Chip - awards Skeeter’s Slots, Nice Dice or the Moonshine Money feature.
  • Free Spins Chip - triggers the bonus round with 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins.

The Skeeter’s Slots feature plays out on a gas pump that’s been converted to a classic 3-reels slot machine. You have 3 lives, and each losing spin adds an ‘X’ to the trail. You can win up to 20x your stake from each spin, and the feature ends when you’ve racked up 3 X’s on the trail.

The Nice Dice feature is played out as a dice roll on a barrel overseen by the dog. You win the total sum of the dice roll multiplied by your bet, and you get indefinite dice rolls.

Each unique number is collected on the left-hand side though, and the feature ends when all possible outcomes from a single dice have been covered (that is numbers 1 to 6).

The Moonshine Money bonus is a pick game with 15 moonshine bottles to choose from. Each pick reveals either a cash prize between 1x and 20x, a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5, or the Game Over symbol. Cash prizes are accumulated, and multipliers boost the current total win. The picks go on until you reveal the ‘game over’ symbol.

You get the Free Spins round from the Bonus Wheel as described above, and landing a Spin symbol on reel 3 during the feature awards another wheel spin. You can get up to 8 wheel spins per bonus round, and the wheel prizes are +3, +5 or +8 extra spins, or the Mini, Minor, Midi, Super or Mega jackpots.

The jackpot values are increased after each wheel spin up to a certain point, and you also get +1 extra free spin if you land a jackpot from the wheel. Here’s an overview of the possible jackpot values, and the largest pot is only achievable after 4 wheel spins:

  • Mega Pot - pays 100x, 200x, 300x, 500x or 1000x your stake.
  • Super Pot - pays 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x or 500x your stake.
  • Midi Pot - pays 15x, 25x 100x, 200x or 500x your stake.
  • Minor Pot - pays 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x or 100x your stake.
  • Mini Pot - pays 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x or 50x your stake.

Review Summary

After all the trips we’ve had to glossy Vegas casinos in the online slot world, this trip to Hillbilly Vegas came as a fresh breath of countryside air.

The visual style reminded us a bit of Hell's Hogs, and the whole hillbilly presentation comes across as both charming and believable. The math model is decent as well, except for the 95.5 % RTP, which is a tad below average.

We don’t see that as a deal-breaker however, and especially not when the game is jam-packed with fun features. All the fun triggers from the bonus wheel, as the base game isn’t all that exciting. Getting to try out the different games on offer in this hillbilly casino is highly entertaining, and it can be lucrative to the tune of 10,000x your stake. Hillbilly Vegas gave us a taste for more, and it’s well worth checking out.

Pros

  • Bonus Wheel triggered by 5+ chips
  • Cash pots up to 10,000x your stake
  • 3 hillbilly casino bonus games
  • FS w/ up to 8 jackpot wheel spins
